Wash Care
- First wash: Prefer gentle dry cleaning or hand wash separately in cold water.
- Hand wash gently using a mild detergent. Avoid soaking for a long time.
- Wash separately, especially during the first few washes, as handloom colours may naturally release some excess dye.
- Do not bleach or use harsh chemicals.
- Do not wring or twist the saree. Gently squeeze out excess water.
- Dry in shade, preferably inside out, away from direct sunlight to preserve the colours.
- Iron on low to medium heat, preferably on the reverse side.
- Store in a cool, dry place, folded neatly. Avoid storing in plastic for long periods.
Silpi Care Note:
Handloom textiles are crafted with natural fibres and traditional techniques. Slight variations in texture, colour and weave are natural characteristics of authentic handcrafted fabric.
